W-B Junior Pens Squirt B Top DVHL
On Sunday, March 7, the Wilkes-Barre Junior Pens Squirt B team concluded their inaugural season by winning the Delaware Valley Hockey League Championship at the Squirt B level. The team posted an 18-2 record in DVHL games and an overall season record of 30-10-1. The playoff championship was highlighted by a come from behind 6-5 double overtime victory with four unanswered goals in the opening round and a victory in the finals (3-2) against the top seeded Lancaster Firebirds.
The team’s head coach is Don Tweedy, while Rob Switzer and Charlie Leo served as assistant coaches.
