Junior Pens update March 28th 2013.

On behalf of the Junior Pens Board, I would like to personally thank you and your family for their participation in the Junior Pens Youth Hockey Organization throughout the 2012-2013 season.  The season was filled with fond memories, a bit of typical chaos, but most importantly the season produced players of all ages enjoying the game of hockey. 

Our coaches, team managers, volunteers within the organization as well as rink staff have continued to donate time and energy to produce another successful hockey season.  The organization saw several holiday and year end tournament champions and improved from our prior organizational amount of playoff bids.  We increased from 4 to 5 DVHL playoff bids. The following teams participated in DVHL playoffs (Squirt B, Bantam A, Bantam B, MU 16 A and MU18 A)  Additionally, the Jr Pens sent its first two teams (Bantam A and MU18A,  Congrats Brian and Ray) to district playoffs since transitioning from the Pocono Pirates.

These successes along with our retention rate of players enjoying the game have been wonderful successes of our volunteer staff.  

To our volunteer staff, many thanks from our organization for all that you do to promote the game of hockey in a safe and enjoyable environment while creating great memories for our players.  We are incredibly appreciative of your time and effort. 

As we close the door on another season, the next season is just around the corner.  Attached you will find, the schedule for evaluations of the 2013-2014 teams

Week 1

Tuesday, April 16th

6:00 to 7:00 ---Squirt

7:15 to 8:15--- Pee Wee

8:30 to 9:30--- MU 16

 

Wednesday, April 17th

6:00 to 7:00 --- Mite

7:15 to 8:15---Bantam

8:30 to 9:30--- Midget U 18

 

Week 2

Monday, April 22nd

6:00 to 7:00--- Pee Wee

7:15 to 8:15--- Bantam

Announcement of Coaches

Coaching applications are requested to be returned by March 31st.  Upon review of the applications, Coaches for each level will be announced as soon as possible. 

Again, on behalf of the organization, thank you and we’ll look forward to seeing you at evaluations in April.
